Buderim 75th Anniversary Open Singles Championship

Nominations are NOW OPEN for the Buderim 75th Anniversary Open Singles Championship

This Event is a one (1) day Event on Saturday 18th July 2026

The event is open to ALL financial members of Buderim Bowls Club

Entries are limited to the first 48 players to nominate and nominations will close on Saturday 11th July or before if filled. A draw will then be carried out to establish the 16 Sections.

This event commences with Round 1 as a Set Play Sectional Event and progresses to the Round of 16 and finals which are all Knockout Rounds.

• Entry Fee is $25.00 per player.
• This event will commence on Saturday 18th July 2026 at 12.00pm.
• Dress is the Buderim Bowls Club Uniform.

Every player to win a set will receive $10 per set won across the afternoon except for the final.

The 75th Anniversary Open Singles Champion will receive a Commemorative Medal and $350 cash + $10 per set won across the afternoon. The runner-up will receive $150 Cash + $10 per set won across the afternoon.

There will be 16 Sections of 3 Players with each player playing 2 games of 2 sets of 5 ends.

1. Round 1 Each Player will play 2 games of 2 sets of 5 ends
2. Round 1 Scoring – 10 Points per Set Won – Wins + Margins determine Top 16 Rankings – Wins override Margins.
3. No draws – a one end Tie-Break to decide the winner if a Draw occurs.
4. Game 1 – Player A plays Player B – 2 Sets of 5 ends – Player C Marks
5. Game 2 – Loser of Game 1 plays Player C – 2 Sets of 5 Ends – Winner of Game 1 Marks
6. Game 3 – Winner of Game 1 plays Player C – 2 Sets of 5 Ends – Loser of Game 1 Marks

There will be NO Dead Ends – jack to be re-spotted on the ‘T’

Note: All LOSERS will be required to MARK throughout the afternoon.

The top 16 Players from Round 1 will progress to Round of 16 – 1 set of 5 ends Knockout match.

The 8 winners from the round of 16 will progress to the quarter finals 1 set of 5 ends Knockout match

The 4 winners from the quarter finals will progress to the semi-finals 1 set of 5 ends Knockout match

The 2 winners from the semi-finals will progress to the FINAL of 1 set of 5 ends Knockout match
